Petersham Nurseries are two unique destinations in Covent Garden and Richmond - home to restaurants, lifestyle shops, a deli and a plant nursery. From 2018 to 2019 we collaborated with the brand to produce a hand wash + hand balm with a scent inspired by the flowers growing in their Richmond glasshouse.

These products were retailed on-site at Petersham Nurseries, through our own website and also used in the bathrooms across both sites. As with our usual amenity operations, we also created glass litre refill bottles of products which were collected when empty, brought back to our laboratory, washed out, refilled then redelivered to each site - a closed loop packaging system which saved hundreds of bottles from the waste stream.

We no longer produce or retail these products however our verbena + geranium + cedar scent range is a close match.

M.i.h jeans

M.i.h. jeans is a heritage denim brand established in 1969 in West London and inspired by the ‘70s, counterculture and California. Our founders bonded over a love of sustainability + the Golden State and we worked together as part of M.i.h’s lifecycle of a jean project to produce a refresh spray for their premium denim - designed to reduce the carbon + water involved in washing clothes by prolonging the distance between washes.

Inspired by M.i.h’s belief in creating jeans that are made to last and leave the lightest footprint on the earth and learning that frequent laundering is detrimental to high quality denim, we developed a naturally derived, biodegradable + non-toxic spray to liberate jeans from the cycle of water washing.

Essential oils + fragrant botanicals were chosen for their antibacterial + fabric protective qualities and included cedarwood, spearmint + cardamom. A touch of sandalwood was included as a nod to Los Angeles and the formula was housed in a 250ml amber glass bottle.

Ozone Coffee is an international specialty coffee company based in London + New Zealand with a purpose to lead enduring change in the way coffee is valued, grown, produced and enjoyed, responsibly for the future. They supply beans to hundreds of independent coffee shops and restaurants around the world and operate two well loved cafes in East London.

Their St. Leonards Street roastery + eatery was one of our first amenity account customers and their second site (near London Fields) is only a few minutes walk from our laboratory so we’d wanted to work together on a collaboration for a while.

Our shared value of ‘sustainability always’ led us to explore the waste produced on-site at each roastery. Spent espresso grounds are no longer good for drinking but still contain significant levels of skin boosting antioxidants + caffeine so collected waste spent espresso grounds from their sites at the end of each day to bring back to our laboratory, process and re-purpose into a nourishing + exfoliating body scrub.
